of <h1>Central Government Notifies 2.746-Hectare SEZ for IT Services in Indore, Madhya Pradesh under SEZ Act, 2005.</h1> The Central Government has notified a 2.746-hectare area at Plot No. 1, Scheme No. 166, District Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT-enabled services. This follows a proposal by a private company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. An Approval Committee has been constituted, comprising various government officials and a representative of the developer, to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ will also function as an Inland Container Depot from August 5, 2019, under the Customs Act, 1962.
