of <h1>President's 2019 Order Applies Indian Constitution to Jammu & Kashmir, Replaces 1954 Order, Alters Article 370 References.</h1> The Constitution (Application to Jammu and Kashmir) Order, 2019, issued by the President of India, supersedes the previous 1954 Order. It applies all provisions of the Indian Constitution to Jammu and Kashmir, with specific modifications. Notably, references to the Sadar-i-Riyasat and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir are now construed as references to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, the expression 'Constituent Assembly of the State' in Article 370 is replaced with 'Legislative Assembly of the State.' This Order was enacted with the concurrence of the Jammu and Kashmir government and took immediate effect.
