of <h1>India Delays Increased Customs Duty on US Imports to May 16, 2019, Amending Prior Notification.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 14/2019-Customs to amend Notification No. 50/2017-Customs dated 30th June 2017. This amendment postpones the implementation of increased customs duty on specific imports from the USA from 2nd May 2019 to 16th May 2019. This decision, made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962 and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, is deemed necessary in the public interest. The notification is published in the Gazette of India, with the amendment details replacing the original implementation date.
