of <h1>India Exempts Philatelic Exhibition Imports from Customs Duty for INDEPEX-ASIANA-2000, December 7-12, 2000, Notification No. 101/2000-Customs.</h1> The Central Government of India issued Notification No. 101/2000-Customs on July 17, 2000, exempting certain goods from customs duty when imported for display or sale at the INDEPEX-ASIANA-2000, an international philatelic exhibition in Calcutta from December 7-12, 2000. The exemption applies to items such as postage stamps, first day covers, brochures, stock books, and philatelic accessories, provided a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Posts certifies their necessity for the exhibition. This exemption covers both the basic customs duty and additional duties under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
