<h1>SEBI Amends Merchant Bankers Regulations; Minimum Amount Requirement Increased from Rs. 1 Crore to Rs. 5 Crores.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued an amendment to the SEBI (Merchant Bankers) Regulations, 1992, on September 7, 1995. This amendment, known as the SEBI (Merchant Bankers) Amendment Regulations, 1995, modifies sub-regulation (2) of regulation 7 by increasing the minimum amount requirement from Rs. 1,00,00,000 to Rs. 5,00,00,000. The amendment takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
