        <h1>Disqualification exception for former whole-time directors of public sector banks permits their eligibility as ombudsman under amended regulations.</h1> The amendment creates a proviso to regulation 6(1) excluding from the disqualification in clause (v) persons who have been whole-time directors of specified public sector banks or public sector undertakings, and defines ''public sector bank'' and ''public sector undertaking'' for this purpose.
