of <h1>Government Extends Deadline for GST Operators to Submit Statements Due to Portal Issues u/s 52(4) CGST Act.</h1> The Central Government issued the Central Goods and Services Tax (Second Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2019, to address issues faced by operators unable to register on the GST portal due to technical problems. These operators collected amounts for October to December 2018 but could not submit the required statements under section 52(4) of the CGST Act, 2017. To resolve this, the deadline for furnishing these statements was extended from January 31, 2019, to February 7, 2019. This order was enacted under the powers granted by section 172 of the CGST Act, 2017, based on the Council's recommendations.
