of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duties on Jute Imports from Bangladesh to Protect Domestic Industry under Amended Notification No. 1/2017-Customs(ADD).</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 1/2017-Customs(ADD) to impose anti-dumping duties on exports from certain jute producers in Bangladesh. This amendment follows the final findings of the Designated Authority, which concluded that imports of jute products from Bangladesh and Nepal are harming the Indian domestic industry by undercutting prices and causing financial injury. Janata Jute Mills Ltd. will be subject to a specific duty rate, while Aman Jute Fibrous Ltd. and IB Jute Corporation will be assessed under residual categories. The amendment aims to protect the domestic industry from unfair trade practices.
