This committee, formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, consists of various ex-officio members, including the Development Commissioner of MEPZ SEZ as Chairperson, and representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, the Ministry of Finance, and the Tamil Nadu government. A representative from the developer, State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited, is a special invitee.
