of <h1>Central Government Delegates Specific Powers to Regional Directors under Companies Act, 2013, Sections 2(41) & 14(1.</h1> The Central Government, under section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013, delegates certain powers and functions to Regional Directors located in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Shillong. These powers pertain to the first proviso to clause (41) of section 2 and the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Act. The delegation is subject to the condition that the Central Government retains the right to revoke these powers or exercise them directly if deemed necessary for public interest. This notification is effective from its publication date in the Official Gazette.
