of <h1>India Cuts Excise Duty on Aviation Turbine Fuel to 11% Effective October 11, 2018, u/s 5A.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, issued Notification No. 22/2018-Central Excise on October 10, 2018, to amend Notification No. 11/2017-Central Excise dated June 30, 2017. This amendment reduces the Central Excise duty rate on Aviation Turbine Fuel to 11%. The change is made under the authority of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment takes effect from October 11, 2018.
