Initially imposed on October 10, 2013, the duty was set to expire on October 9, 2018. However, following a legal challenge by a petitioner, the Gujarat High Court ordered a reassessment of the case, extending the duty until April 9, 2019. The court found the previous decision to deny a sunset review investigation lacked sufficient reasoning. The Central Government, complying with the court's order, has thus extended the duty period.
