Exemption under section 35AC: extension of specified technical education project for women as an eligible scheme for further period. Central Government specified that the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha's technical education project for women, comprising an Industrial Training Institute and a Polytechnic at Shirgaon, qualified as an eligible project for tax exemption under the provision corresponding to section 35AC; the National Committee recommended, having found the project properly executed, that the specification be extended for a further three assessment years, and the Government notified that extension together with the estimated project cost.
