<h1>Central Government notifies 2.39 ha Gachibowli sector-specific SEZ for IT/ITES with Approval Committee and developer invitee</h1> The Central Government notifies 2.39 hectares at Gachibowli Village, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana as a sector-specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES, having granted prior approval for its development, operation and maintenance. An Approval Committee is constituted, chaired by the Development Commissioner and comprising ex-officio members from commerce, foreign trade, customs/central excise, income tax, finance (banking), two state-nominated officers and a developer representative as special invitee. The zone is deemed an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act with effect from 16 August 2017.
