of <h1>Central Government notifies 4.05-hectare IT/ITES SEZ with Approval Committee; zone deemed Inland Container Depot, later rescinded</h1> The Central Government notified a 4.05-hectare Special Economic Zone (IT/ITES) at Ameenpur Village, Patancheru Mandal, Medak District, Telangana, granted prior approval under the SEZ Act and appointed an Approval Committee comprising ex officio officials (development commissioner, commerce ministry nominee, DGFT zonal head, customs/central excise and income tax commissioners or nominees, finance ministry banking director), two state-nominated joint-secretary-rank officers, and a developer representative as special invitee. The zone was deemed an Inland Container Depot effective 5 July 2017. This notification was later rescinded by a subsequent notification dated 8 September 2025.
