India Updates Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Metals, and More; Notification No. 47/2017-CUSTOMS Issued by Finance Ministry.
The Government of India's Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Excise and Customs, has issued Notification No. 47/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated May 15, 2017, amending previous tariff notifications. This notification sets new tariff values for various goods, including edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nuts, gold, and silver. The tariff values are specified in US dollars per metric tonne or per specified unit for each item, such as crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold, and silver. This amendment supersedes previous tables in Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.).
