of <h1>Central Excise Notification Amended: New Excise Duty Rates and Changes to Serial Nos. 1, 2, 13, 15, 20, and 21.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 6/2005-Central Excise, dated March 1, 2005, under the Central Excise Act, 1944. The amendments include changes in the excise duty rates: substituting '9%' for the previous rate against Serial No. 1, and '8.3%' for Serial No. 2. Additionally, Serial Nos. 13, 15, and 20, along with their related entries, are omitted. For Serial No. 21, the phrase '(other than pan masala containing tobacco 'gutkha')' is added after 'a brand name' in column (3). These changes are deemed necessary in the public interest.
