of <h1>India Amends Central Excise Notification No. 6/2005; Updates Entries for Serial Numbers 7-10 Effective March 1, 2016.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 18/2016-Central Excise to amend Notification No. 6/2005-Central Excise, dated March 1, 2005. This amendment, effective from March 1, 2016, involves changes to the entries in the table of the original notification. Specifically, entries for serial numbers 7 and 8 are amended to '2403 11 10,' and entries for serial numbers 9 and 10 are amended to '2403 19 90.' These changes are made under the authority granted by the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2005, in the public interest.
