India Extends Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Saccharin Until January 2018 to Protect Domestic Industry.
The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has extended the anti-dumping duty on Saccharin originating from or exported by China for an additional year, until January 12, 2018. This extension follows a review initiated by the designated authority under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and is in accordance with the rules governing the identification, assessment, and collection of anti-dumping duties. The original duty was imposed in 2012 under notification No. 07/2012-Customs (ADD). The extension is intended to continue protecting domestic industries from the adverse effects of dumping.
