This amendment withdraws the exemption benefits previously applied to chargers or adapters, batteries, wired headsets, and speakers of mobile handsets, including cellular phones. This change is enacted under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment specifically omits these items from the exemption list in the notification's table against serial number 39.
