Rescission of customs exemption removes preferential import relief for specified goods originating from Myanmar, effective prospectively. The Central Government, exercising statutory power under the Customs Act and related general clauses authority and acting in the public interest, rescinds Notification No. 9/95-Customs which had exempted specified goods imported from Myanmar, except as to things done or omitted prior to rescission, thereby withdrawing the prior import exemption prospectively.
