Government Withdraws Notification for Textile SEZ in Gurgaon; Proposal Supported by Haryana State and Noida SEZ Officials
The Central Government has rescinded the notification establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for textiles at Villages Bans Hariya, Jhund Sarai, and Bangrolla, District Gurgaon, Haryana. Initially proposed by a company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, the SEZ covered an area of 142.1031 hectares. The rescission follows a proposal by the company to de-notify the SEZ, supported by a 'No Objection' from the Haryana State Government and a recommendation from the Development Commissioner of the Noida SEZ. The notification is rescinded except for actions completed prior to this rescission.
