of <h1>India Amends Service Tax Rules: Tamil Nadu Assessees Must Pay November 2015 Tax by December 20, 2015</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 26/2015 to amend the Service Tax Rules, 1994. This amendment, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, introduces a new provision to Rule 6, sub-rule (1). It stipulates that for assessees in Tamil Nadu, the service tax for November 2015 must be paid to the Central Government by December 20, 2015. This amendment is authorized by the Central Government under the powers granted by the Finance Act, 1994.
