Initially notified in 2009 for three years at a cost of 3.45 crore, the project was extended in 2013 until the financial year 2014-15. Due to the project's continuation and increased costs, the National Committee recommended further extension for three years (2015-16 to 2017-18) and an increased budget of 6.77 crore. The notification amends the previous cost limit, allowing the increased expenditure as a deduction.
