of <h1>Central Government Extends Orphanage Project Eligibility Under Section 35AC; Budget Increased to 239.34 Lakh Until 2018.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Orphanage Maintenance and Renovation of Building' project by Manav Mandir Mission Trust in New Delhi as an eligible project under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting in the 2009-10 financial year and extended in 2013, the project is now further extended for three years from 2015-16 to 2017-18. The project cost has been increased from 94.34 lakh to 239.34 lakh, as recommended by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
