of <h1>'Lifeline Express' Project Extended Under Section 35AC for Three More Years, Revised Cost Now 2398.32 Lakh</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Lifeline Express' project, managed by a Mumbai-based foundation, as a qualified project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially recognized in 2004, the project has received several extensions and is now approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2015-16. The project's estimated cost has been revised from 901.02 lakh, including a corpus fund of 219.19 lakh, to 2398.32 lakh, with a corpus of 319.19 lakh, as recommended by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
