Initially approved for a cost of 10 crore for three years ending in the financial year 2014-15, the project will continue for an additional three years from 2015-16 to 2017-18. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, confirming the project's proper execution. The project is managed by Jeevan Jyot Cancer Relief & Care Trust in Mumbai.
