of <h1>Government Extends Funding for Aged Blind Home Project in New Delhi; Budget Adjusted, Valid Through 2017-18</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Construction of a home for the aged blind' project by the National Association for the Blind in New Delhi for three additional financial years: 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18. Initially notified in 2006, the project has had its building fund increased from 3 crore to 7 crore, while the corpus fund has been reduced from 10 crore to 6 crore, maintaining the total project cost at 13 crore. This extension and amendment are pursuant to recommendations by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
