Initially approved in 2007 and extended in 2010, this project provides midday meals to 150 government-aided schools in Bangalore's slums and rural areas. The project, valued at 21.86 crore, is now approved for an additional three years, covering the financial years 2013-14 to 2015-16, following a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
