of <h1>Government Extends Tax Deduction Eligibility for Prayas Project in Faridabad u/s 35AC; Cost Cap Raised to Rs. 7.77 Crore.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Integrated Development of boys, girls, and women from slum dwellers' project by Prayas Social Welfare Society in Faridabad under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for two years starting from 2009-10 and extended for three more years until 2013-14, the project is now further extended for three additional years from 2014-15 to 2016-17. The maximum cost eligible for tax deduction has been increased from Rs. 3.11 crore to Rs. 7.77 crore, following a recommendation from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
