Central Government Extends Dean Foundation's Project Eligibility Under Section 35AC for Three More Years

The Central Government has extended the eligibility of a project by Dean Foundation in Chennai under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This project includes hospice outpatient and home-based programs, a mobile hospice rural outreach program, and an integrated hospice program for AIDS. Initially approved in 2004 and extended in 2007 and 2010, the project is now extended for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2013-14 to 2015-16. The approved cost remains 3.43 crore, as recommended by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
