of <h1>Government Extends Tax Benefits for Gujarat Women's Welfare Project Under Section 35AC for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project undertaken by Subhag Mahila Utkarsh Trust in Gujarat under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years ending in the financial year 2013-14, the project, which includes a short stay home, helpline for distressed women, and vocational training for unemployed women, will continue for another three years from 2014-15 to 2016-17. The project maintains its approved cost of 2.58 crore, including a corpus fund of 25 lakh, as recommended by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
