Initially approved in 2005, the project has been extended multiple times, with the latest extension covering the financial years 2014-15 to 2016-17. The project remains approved at a cost of 7.82 crore, following recommendations from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, confirming its proper execution.
