Initially approved at a cost of 483.46 lakh, the project's scope has been expanded to include general outpatient and inpatient services, mobile clinics, and diagnostic departments. The project now also covers construction, equipment, and facility creation for hospice and medical facilities, with an additional 150 lakh for these purposes and a 50 lakh corpus fund, while maintaining the original project cost. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare has endorsed these amendments.
