of <h1>Government Extends Eligibility for Blind School Project in Maharashtra Under Section 35AC Until 2016-17</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Expansion of residential Blind School' project by Vidyaniketan Sanskritik, Samajik, Shikshanik, Bahuuddeshiya Sevabhavi Sanstha in Maharashtra under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years ending in the financial year 2010-11 and extended until 2013-14, the project is now further extended for three more years from 2014-15 to 2016-17. The estimated cost remains 3.61 crore. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, confirming the project's proper execution.
