of <h1>India's Central Government Empowers Officers to File Complaints Under Companies Act Sections 155 & 159</h1> The Central Government of India has authorized specific officers in the office of the Regional Director (Northern Region) at Noida to file complaints under section 159 of the Companies Act, 2013, concerning offenses under section 155 of the same Act. The authorized officers include five individuals holding positions as Joint Directors and an Assistant Director. This authorization is in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 439 of the Companies Act, 2013. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on January 9, 2015, and is to be published in the Gazette of India.
