of <h1>Central Government Approves IT and ITES SEZ in Imphal, Manipur; 10.85 Hectares Authorized Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services in Imphal, Manipur, proposed by M/s. Manipur IT SEZ Project Development Company Ltd. The SEZ is authorized under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, with a total area of 10.85 hectares across various plots in the Chingmeirong Nongpok area. An Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee the SEZ, comprising various government officials and representatives. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from February 26, 2014, under the Customs Act, 1962.
