of <h1>Central Government Approves IT and Electronic Hardware SEZ in Bangalore Under SEZ Act, 2005; 12.4851 Hectares Allocated.</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and related services, including electronic hardware, in the villages of B.M. Kaval and Rachanamadu, Kangeri Hobli, Bangalore, Karnataka. This approval, granted to a private company, follows the fulfillment of requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The designated area covers 12.4851 hectares, and an Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee the SEZ's development. The SEZ is recognized as an inland Container Depot effective from March 5, 2012, under the Customs Act, 1962.
