of <h1>Government Rescinds Notification for IT SEZ in Gurgaon, Haryana; Area Denotified as of August 8, 2011.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded the notification establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Sector-106, Village Pawala Khusrupur, District Gurgaon, Haryana. Initially proposed by a development company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, the SEZ covered an area of 11.6627 hectares. Following the company's proposal to denotify the area, the government approved the denotification on August 8, 2011. The rescission does not affect actions taken prior to this decision.
