<h1>Govt Approves Biotech SEZ in Pune's Manjari Budruk; Inland Container Depot Status Granted Under Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for biotechnology in Village Manjari Budruk, Taluka Haveli, District Pune, Maharashtra, as proposed by a private entity under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The approval was granted on March 27, 2012, and the SEZ covers an area of 11.50675 hectares. An Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee the SEZ, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developer. The SEZ is designated as an inland Container Depot effective March 29, 2012, under the Customs Act, 1962.
