<h1>Kandla SEZ in Gujarat Expands by 271.75 Acres, Now Totals 971.75 Acres Under SEZ Rules, 2006.</h1> The Central Government has notified an additional 271.75 acres as part of the Kandla Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Gujarat. This expansion includes parts of the old survey numbers 224 and 227, now renumbered as 155/1 in Village Kidana, Gandhidham, Kutch. Initially notified in 2003, the Kandla SEZ was previously 700 acres. The proposal to increase its area to 971.75 acres was approved by the Board of Approval on August 8, 2006. This notification is issued under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006.
