<h1>Transfer of SEZ developer approval, conversion to multi-product status, and 784-hectare area expansion upheld under SEZ Rules.</h1> Approval for the Jamnagar, Gujarat Special Economic Zone was transferred from the original developer entity to the renamed/transferee developer entity, with the consequence that the transferee holds the operative SEZ approval for development and administration. The SEZ's approved sectoral character was converted from petroleum and petrochemicals to a multi-product SEZ, with the consequence that the zone is regulated and developed as a multi-product SEZ under the SEZ Act, 2005 and SEZ Rules, 2006. An additional area of 784.0296 hectares at Jamnagar was notified to be included within the SEZ (in addition to the previously notified 440.08 hectares), with the consequence that the notified SEZ boundaries and total area stand expanded to include the added land.
