of <h1>Visakhapatnam SEZ expands by 76.95 acres, now totaling 236.95 acres, enhancing economic capacity in Andhra Pradesh.</h1> The Central Government has expanded the Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Andhra Pradesh by adding 76.95 acres to the existing 160 acres, bringing the total to 236.95 acres. This expansion, approved by the Board of Approval on October 10, 2006, includes areas from Duwada, Kurmannapalam, Jaccarajupeta, and Narava villages in Visakhapatnam District. The notification was issued under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2003, and the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, as part of efforts to enhance the SEZ's capacity.
