Central Government Appoints Director of STPI Navi Mumbai as Development Commissioner for Nagpur SEZ under SEZ Act 2005

The Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, appoints the Director of Software Technology Parks of India, Navi Mumbai, as the Development Commissioner for a Special Economic Zone. This zone is developed by a private entity at the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Industrial Area in Nagpur, Maharashtra, covering 17.189 hectares for IT/ITES purposes. The appointed Commissioner must follow instructions from the Central Government, Department of Commerce, and the Board of Approval on Special Economic Zones, submitting periodic reports. Personnel matters will be managed by the Department of Information Technology or Software Technology Park of India.
