of <h1>Govt Approves New Biotechnology SEZ in Thrikkakara, Kerala; Covers 12.141 Hectares Under SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the biotechnology sector in Thrikkakara North Village, Kanayannur Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala. This approval was granted to M/s. TCG Urban Infrastructure Holdings Limited under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ covers an area of 12.141 hectares, as specified in the notification dated May 12, 2009. The decision follows the fulfillment of necessary requirements as per the Act, and the area has been officially notified as an SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006.
