of <h1>Central Government Extends Section 35AC Tax Benefits for Kozhikode Orphan and Rural Health Project Until 2015-16</h1> The Central Government has extended the notification for the project 'Care of Orphans & Health Schemes for Rural Poor' conducted by an organization in Kozhikode, Kerala, as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved in December 2010 for an estimated cost of Rs. 44.05 crore for three years, the project is now extended for an additional three years, covering the financial years 2013-14 to 2015-16, following a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
