of <h1>Central Govt Extends Tax Benefit for Old Age Home Project in New Delhi Under Section 35AC Until 2015</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project 'Construction of building and running of Vridha Bhakt Niwas (Old Age Home), Dhyan Yoga Kendra, and Ayurvedic dispensary' by a trust in New Delhi under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the assessment year 2001-2002, the project has received multiple extensions. The latest extension is for three years, covering the financial years 2012-13 to 2014-15, with no change in the approved cost of Rs. 11.85 crore, following a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
