of <h1>Central Government Approves SEZ for Electronics in Andhra Pradesh, Meeting Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 Criteria</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for electronic hardware and software activities at Muppireddypally Village, Toopran Mandal, Medak District, Andhra Pradesh, proposed by a private corporation. This approval follows the fulfillment of requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ covers an area of 10.223 hectares and will be managed by an Approval Committee comprising various government officials and representatives. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from June 20, 2013, under the Customs Act, 1962.
