<h1>Reconstructive Surgery Society's perpetual tax approval under Section 35(1)(ii) changed to time-bound, expiring March 31, 1987.</h1> The Society for Reconstructive Surgery, Rehabilitation and Research in Bombay, previously granted perpetual approval under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, has had its status changed to a time-bound approval valid until March 31, 1987. Conditions include maintaining separate accounts for scientific research funds, submitting annual returns of research activities by April 30, and providing audited annual accounts and balance sheets by June 30 each year. The institution must also apply for approval extension three months before expiry to the Central Board of Direct Taxes. Late applications may be rejected.
