Indore, Jun 5 (PTI) Diplomatic representatives from more than 15 Latin American and Caribbean countries will participate in a conference in Indore on Saturday to discuss trade and investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, officials said.
The Mohan Yadav government is organising the event as part of its efforts to position Madhya Pradesh as a global investment and export hub, they said.
"The 'India-Latin America and the Caribbean Countries Trade and Investment Forum 2026' is being organised jointly by Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) and Global India Business Forum (GIBF). Yadav will inaugurate the conference," an official said.
More than 350 participants, including ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomatic representatives, investors, industry bodies and business delegates from Latin American and Caribbean countries, are expected to attend the event, he added.
The conference will showcase investment opportunities, industrial infrastructure and export potential in Madhya Pradesh across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, packaging materials, engineering, textiles and food processing.
"Madhya Pradesh's exports to Latin American and Caribbean countries stood at Rs 3,835 crore during the 2025-26 financial year, registering a 19 per cent increase over the previous fiscal," the official informed. PTI HWP LAL BNM
